Helm Draft Reply
Send the email you are reading to Helm. Helm writes a reply into your Drafts folder. You still choose when to send it.
Use it
- Open an email in Outlook.
- On the ribbon, choose Helm Draft Reply.
- The first time, open Connection settings, paste the webhook address and sender key, choose Test connection, then Save.
- Choose Send to Helm. The pane should say: Sent to Helm — draft will appear in Drafts in 1–3 minutes.
- Open Drafts in a few minutes and read the reply. Send it yourself if you want the other person to receive it.
If the pane is already open
Click Send to Helm inside the pane. That sends the email you are looking at now.
If Test connection fails
Read the message in the pane. A refused key means the sender key, header name, or header format needs a second look. The usual header name is Authorization and the usual format is Bearer {key}.
A message about being blocked means the Helm webhook has to allow this website. Send the person who runs Helm the address in your browser's address bar, and tell them the add-in sends a POST. A test sends {"test":true}. The real button sends the email as JSON. The usual header is Authorization: Bearer followed by the sender key.
The button is missing
If you just installed it for the company, wait. Company install can take up to a day, and often shows up within an hour. The website address inside the manifest file also has to match this site.
